Privacy Policy

Klippo · Effective 8 October 2026

This policy explains what Klippo stores about you, why, and for how long.

What we store

  • Sign-in: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account's ID. If you create a password, it is held by Google's sign-in service in hashed form; we never see it.
  • Videos you provide: videos you upload or link to, the clips made from them, their thumbnails, and a transcript of the speech.
  • Account settings: the names, posting times, style and clip-picking instructions of the accounts you set up.
  • Connected social accounts: the social account's ID and display name, and the access and refresh tokens the platform issues so Klippo can post for you.
  • Records: clip titles, captions and hashtags; when and where each clip was posted and any error the platform returned; how many videos and minutes you have used this month; and your confirmation, for each video, that you have the right to use it.

What we do with it

  • Transcribe your videos and choose the best moments for clips.
  • Render the clips and show them to you for review.
  • Post the clips you approve to the accounts you connected, at the times you choose.
  • Keep the service safe and within its limits.

We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your videos to train models. From connected platforms we read only what is needed to post: your account ID and display name, your posting options, and the status of Klippo's own posts.

Services that process data for us

  • Google Cloud and Firebase (European Union region): hosting, sign-in, storage, database and processing.
  • Anthropic (Claude API): receives a video's transcript and title to suggest which moments to clip.
  • Instagram (Meta), TikTok and YouTube (Google): receive the clips and captions you approve for posting, through their official APIs. Klippo uses YouTube API Services; Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded source videos: deleted once the clips are made, and in any case within 2 days.
  • Public videos fetched from a link: a copy may be kept for up to 2 days, and its title and captions for up to a week, so the same video isn't fetched again for the next request. These copies are not tied to you.
  • Posted clips: video files deleted 7 days after posting; the posting record is kept.
  • Rejected clips: deleted completely 2 days after you reject them.
  • Connected accounts: until you disconnect them or revoke access on the platform.
  • Everything else: until you delete your account.

Your choices and rights

  • Download your data and delete your account from Settings in Klippo. Deleting removes your accounts, clips, files, connections, history and sign-in.
  • Disconnect a social account at any time under Accounts; its tokens are deleted. You can also revoke access in the platform's own settings (for TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions; for YouTube: your Google account's third-party access page).
  • You have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Write to hello@klippo.app. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Security

Data is stored in Google Cloud with encryption at rest. Access tokens are kept on the server and are never sent to a browser. Each person can only see their own data.
