Live clipping for YouTube Live
YouTube Live clips, made while you stream.
Paste your YouTube Live link and Klippo follows the stream as it airs, turning the best moments into captioned vertical clips you can post as Shorts, Reels or TikToks before you have even signed off.
Free during the beta. Works with links like youtube.com/live/… or youtu.be/…
Three steps, on YouTube Live

What you get from a YouTube Live stream
Live streams and Premieres
Anything YouTube shows as live is clipped as it airs, from the moment you paste the link until it ends or you press Stop.
Ready for Shorts
Clips are 1080 × 1920 with captions burned in, so they are the right shape for YouTube Shorts as well as Reels and TikTok.
Finished streams, fast
Once a stream has ended and YouTube has captioned it, Klippo reads those captions to find the moments and fetches only those parts, so even a three-hour stream takes minutes.
Missed the start?
Live clipping begins when you paste the link. To clip a whole stream, paste the same link again once it has finished and it is clipped from beginning to end.
YouTube Live clipping questions
- How do I make clips from a YouTube live stream?
- Start your YouTube stream, paste its link into Klippo and confirm it's yours to use. Klippo follows the stream as it airs and puts captioned vertical clips in your queue every few minutes.
- Does it work with YouTube Premieres and finished streams?
- Yes. A Premiere is clipped as it airs, like a live stream. A stream that has already finished is clipped as a normal video, which is quick because Klippo reads YouTube's captions to find the moments.
- How soon after a moment is the YouTube clip ready?
- Usually between three and nine minutes, while the stream is still on. Klippo checks the newest part of the stream every five minutes.
- How many clips will I get?
- As many as you ask for. You set a number of clips an hour, six by default, and Klippo keeps the best moments within it, so a busy stream doesn't bury you in clips.
